WordStat, a software tool first released 25 years ago, is ideal for analyzing large text corpora or quickly exploring smaller text collections. It can automatically extract themes from large text collections using state-of-the-art topic modeling and clustering techniques, or provide a more focused measure of user-defined dimensions using content analysis dictionaries. WordStat can identify temporal trends and generate interactive maps, differentiate sources using correspondence plots, deviation tables, heat maps, and crosstabs with statistical tests. Normand Péladeau will cover WordStat's main features and highlight some of the most innovative ones to support text analysis efforts.
The 45-minute session will conclude with an interactive Q&A session.
