Beyond Data Availability: Challenges on Data Related to Climate Change

A key element of strong public policy is evidence and good estimates. Climate-related data varies by stakeholder, including civil society, citizens, the private sector, and government agencies. Climate-related data is often collected by multiple agencies. We will discuss the strategy pursued by the Open Data Charter to provide clarity and direction for governments looking to improve their climate-related open data publication, its impact and recommendations.
