
Gabriela Rodríguez Rial is a political scientist (UBA, Argentina). She holds a master's degree in Sociology of Culture (UNSAM, Argentina), a PhD in Social Sciences (UBA) and a PhD in Philosophy (Université Paris 8). Since 2008 she has been a researcher at CONICET and the Instituto de Investigaciones Gino Germani. She is head of the course Fundations of Political Science I in the Political Science program at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina), regular associate professor in the Department of Political Theory at the University of Guillermo Brown (Argentina) and teaches postgraduate courses at several national and foreign academic institutions. She has published book chapters and more than forty articles in specialized academic journals. Her books include: Entre la iracundia retórica y el acuerdo. El difícil escenario político argentino (EUDEBA, 2015), República y republicanismos, conceptos tradiciones y prácticas en pugna (Miño y Dávila), Hobbes, el hereje (EUDEBA, 2018), Tocqueville en el fin del mundo. She served as Undersecretary of Advanced Studies between February and August 2022 and was Visiting Professor at the University of Seville (October-November 2022).
